... at some point, which means staying close to the site. Bugger. Then we had all sorts of problems getting a helmet for the British guy, and could not get on the road until midday. Bugger.
Once we got going though, the day became much more fun. While the crew were checking out the cable car views, I went and sat with a 70KG Python for a photoshoot (and prized him off my similarly-sized willy...just kidding - he was smaller), then headed for a nearby waterfall, which was even ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia jamiemeasures... the most
uncoordinated (he fell face first just walking up stairs). Once over
the other side we got to abseil down a large boulder, and then wait
at the bottom for everyone. Once everyone was at the bottom of that
boulder we moved onto the next. James then took off his helmet and
dropped it, causing it to roll down the boulder. Luckily for him it
got caught by some bush not to far from the top and the instructor
who didnt have a clue went down to ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia kaylaandbryden... litre of bicardi & a bottle of Campri straight (only the Campri) before we went to the club. Myself & Adrian (from Switzerland) were dancing like lunatics, Doug was being sick in the toilets, Tom & Ben downing glasses of straight spirts. I ended up carrying Tom home (should be vice versa really) whilst he was singing football songs ALL THE BLOODY WAY!! When we got back to the dorm Adrian wasn't home but we thought nothing of it until the next morning when we all ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia maidykm... climbed on the car, another one followed Grechy because he was carrying a Sprite bottle (which was filled with water and of little interest to the monkey once it discovered the lack of lemonade), we witnessed another one put a slice of sponge cake into his mouth whole which was fairly impressive! Did a boat hopping tour. Cut out the middle man and got it for 40RM as it wasn't worth the advertised price of 65RM. Visited Dayang Bunting (Lake of the ...

Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia big_hans... The journey back to our resort took about half an hour- I think our poor driver must have lost money for all his efforts. We went back to TJ's that night- its owned by an English man and has the best pizzas! He told us how how he hasnt been back to England in over ten years but had to make a trip back soon and wasnt looking forward to it. He also had a lot of pets- one of whom we met, a cat he nicknamed Garfield. Must have been the fattest cat on the island- one too many pizzas I think.
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia aliandvicky... on calling his co-worker who was speeding by on his motorbike. The younger guy turned around and came over to us. He asked me if I was interested in seeing the Art Gallery. I politely said no that I was on my way to see Fort Cornwallis. At this stage I was wary of a scam or worse! The guy gave me his card with all the details of the Art Gallery and his own email address etc on it but the card was just a coloured piece of paper so I was still apprehensive. He told me to follow him and ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia alandrachWe are very tried this morning. All the early mornings are catching up with us and we need sleep. This is denied to us however as we are needed for shooting on the first scene. The set is the same each day and the each scene is shot on one camera. This means that when shooting the scene from different angles, the camera needs to be set up again. It all takes time and in between takes, it feels like a life time. We try to fill ...
Langkawi, Pinang, Malaysia andrew.chudiak... where you could slide from pool to pool (and nearly bloody killed herself when she went too near the edge..talk about having a fit!). The north of the island is where all the 5* resorts are located and we called in to a few to check out the views and their beaches. Ended the day in Kuah (the main town on the island) where we enjoyed local chicken satay and seafood while watching the sunset. One of reasons we came to Langkawi was to visit the national park or ECO ...
Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia ruairioc... sauce used! It is disgusting, if not embarrassing, to see. Thailand's popularity is simply that it offers a convenient package (far from as cheap as everyone pretends). Sure there are great beaches and interesting cultural sights, BUT there are far better beaches in Malaysia, more stunning temple complexes in Cambodia, cheaper beer in Vietnam and far more friendly folk in ...
