    ... at DIavolezza and caught the vermicular to the mountain top AWESOME !! Firs time in my life to touch snow ...wow wow wow ...kinda another emotional moment in my life .... The sun has now come out and the vista is even more fabulous ....perfecto ...oh and everyone speaks italian up here and in St Moritz. Feeling on top of the world 300 feet above ea level ...oh so cool ..someone's brought their dog up here ...I'm sure ...

    ... a number of ski lifts. After seeing nobody walking up the mountain, I was surprised to see lots of people at the top. Then I spotted parked cars. I had a bit of a rant about the people we passed along the lines of "I bet they haven’t just climbed up 1200 metres to get to the top!" I felt very aggrieved. It started raining as we got to the top so we headed slightly downhill to shelter under a ski lift but when we got there, the local flock of sheep had clearly had ...

    ... a couple we had seen on another walk two days before.

    We stopped for lunch and took in the views, the farm house with its shuttered windows and pots filled with geraniums, the flower strewn meadow and the sheer grey rock of the mountains providing the back drop.

    The path down took us through Ledro Land Art, a woodland trail dotted with sculptures. Before we knew it, we were back at the lake and just a short walk back to the campsite.

    ... it can be bottled! No wonder it is so expensive! We then had the chance to taste all the varieties they produce - it was delicious!
