    ... swim in. We went into town but because it was Sunday everything was closed. We went back to the lake and found out where all the people were. It was very crowded and every second person had a small bbq. There was that many bbqs that the air was thick with smoke, talk about smoke on the water. It was a little disappointing but with nothing open I suppose the locals and tourists all end up at the lake. ...

    ... does not have the medicinal properties of fine lavender and it's scent is much stronger and less light and floral. Another fact I found to be interesting is that there is an association in France (A.O.C.) that controls the quality of lavender essential oil, just like wine and cheese.

    After this museum we enjoyed a very relaxed drive back to Geneva, carrying the lovely scent with us the whole way :-)

    ... resorty towns. Willem loved the boat ride and we had a nice stroll around Evian before settling down to enjoy some yummy cheeses and dried meats with beer. We had a lovely afternoon catching up on Hamilton gossip and Willem was very well behaved.     ... because there were no flowers. Our timing was probably not ideal for this attraction.

    I had wanted to go to the CERN visitor's centre which is just outside Geneva and we made a late dash on the tram only to arrive there as they were closing the doors. Our pleas to the curator fell on deaf ears and we did not get to go inside. A pity because I have always been very interested in the Hadron particle accelerator which is one of CERN's major projects.
