Nevado de Toluca, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico flitterjahr... since we left California. A family consisting of a Mother, Father and their two daughters aging 5 and 7 made friends with us, and helped us alot through many of the bus changes we had to make, to ensure our backpack followed us on the same bus. We've so far found Mexican people to be very lovely. Every where I go in these ...
Culiacan, Mexico clintonb... but relatively sober) sombrero to keep off the Mexican sun in a market where we stopped and even did a bit of haggling which seemed a bit churlish as it was only three quid! As it was my birthday the next day, but not a lot of people were going to be around on the Friday, Juan kindly arranged a dinner with some friends at his place in the evening. It was a lovely way to bring in my birthday which we celebrated with some fizzy brought ...
Mexico City, Mexico hudan... planes and staff aboard are a different matter entirely. The planes so far have been large, very clean and comfortable. The staff have also been great. In fact on this flight from Guatemala City to Mexico City we were served our first hot airline meal in years. Didn't pay extra, didn't expect it. It was delicious too, a tamale covered in a great green/crema sauce. What a surprise. The first day in Mexico City was ...

Emailed your horrible lot (anna snuck up behind me just as i was writing something particularly unpleasant about her) and met the girls for dinner. just as we sat down it started spitting! We moved under the roof and a full blown torrential downpour ensued! just as they brought our food out the power went out so we cheerfully ate by candlelight chuckling at the ...

Mexico city, Mexico viajando... for the Virgin of Guadalupe. I carry a photo of her with me everywhere I go and I have to pendants with her face to ensure protection, but to see the actual mantle was awe inspiring. Like the Shroud of Turin, no one knows how it was created (scientifically speaking) much less how it maintained its color through time unprotected from the elements. Huitzilopochtli and I moved from the left an then to the right as we quietly gazed up upon the encased shroud. It was a moment ...
Mexico city, Mexico autumn... to explore we went towards the roadblock (all the while debating as to whether or not we were SUPPOSED too). Then we heard a booming voice saying something in Spanish (of course) followed by... "ommmmmm ommmmmmmmm," like some kind of chanting. As much as I probably should have feared for my life, I proceeded until I discovered... Yet another rally for a presidential candidate. The Mexican Presidential Election is in July, so every light pole, store window ...
