Great at first but.......
Just back from 11 days at the Palm Beach Hotel. Great at first, clean, friendly staff, nice pool etc but then..... Arrived on the Saturday then on the Monday, to my utter dismay the building work from the surrounding sites started from 8am to 8pm! Remarked on this to the reception staff who commented that my tour agent should have informed me of the building work when I booked the holiday (they didn't, thanks Expedia!) Could things get worse? yeap they could and they did! The music from the restaurant which initially was played inside was moved to outside so that it could be heard half way down the hill! was played from 8pm to 12midnight and I thought down-graded the hotel considerably! ....... Then money was stolen from my room and when I enventually got to speak to the manager about it the night before I was to return home, he was less than sympathetic towards me! and frankly needed some customer relations training! I never retrieved my money and I come back to england with a bitter taste in my mouth!......I won't be going abck to the Palm Beach Hotel!!........
Stay away from this!
Just back from a weeks holiday at the Palm Beach Hotel. Nice Hotel, clean, staff pleasant, entertainment every night (might not be your cup of tea) but the major drawback is the building work. They are building new hotels at the back and to the left of the hotel. From 8am in the morning until 8pm in the evening there is a constant drone of diggers and lorries running up and down the hill. If you are unfortunate enough to be walking on the pavement when these lorries pass you, you get covered in dust. Although the hotel staff clean the tables and chairs on the terrace the have a constant film of dust on them. Apart from that and the walk up the hill the hotel itself is fine! My advice would be to stay away for a while.
Great Hotel Pity About The Hill
Just back from the Palm Beach Hotel, Benidorm 30th May 2004 spent a week there with my husband. We had never been to Benidorm before, we enjoyed our week and enjoyed staying at The Palm Beach Hotel. Rooms, food, amenities etc. all excellent, BUT it is for fit people, we would not advise anyone to go there if they have difficulty walking as the Palm Beach is up not one but three hills. If you don't mind this then it's worth a visit.
Also the lifts would be very busy in the height of the summer as there are only three and we were on the tenth floor so we found at meal times we stopped at literally every floor. (We are fit and active people, but felt sorry for a few older/heavier people we met as they struggled)
I agree that the hotel is on a bit of a hill, but after eating all the delicious food on offer it?s a great way to shed a couple of lbs.We will be staying here again this summer 04, that?s the first time we?ve ever stayed in the same hotel twice (must be good). When the taxi driver dropped us off from the airport his first words to us were ?YOU ARE STAYING IN A TOP CLASS HOTEL?, and we weren?t disappointed.FOOD: Great variations, clean with good service.BEDROOM: Small but adequate, Very clean, handy little fridge to keep you booze chilled.POOL: Looks small on the photos we seen but larger in real life. Plenty of sun beds (even if you get up late)Staff: Same as any Spanish hotel I?ve stayed in (they only smile when you tip them, in my case never)
everything was perfect we stayed oct 2002 for a week the food was excellent and put on about a stone each would not say ideal for children - at that time of year very little entertainment - if you want a bit of holiday luxury then stay here
What a Hill!
thought the Palm Beach was a lovely hotel. Very clean with daily maid service. food was good most nights. some staff more helpful than others. Only really bad point was the mountain you have to climb to get back to the hotel from the town centre. thank goodness for taxis and the complimentary bus service. I visited in Oct 03 so weather wasn't great but I still thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would holiday in Benidorm every year given the chance.
A Great Surprise
Booked a cheap week online and when we got there we did not believe it was our hotel at the price we paid. Once inside we were not disappointed either, staff and food superb, entertainment not too hot but it was February so what can you expect. If I was t go back to Benidorm would not stay anywhere else.
Just spent xmas at the Palm Beach Hotel.Had a great time. The hotel is fab,the staff are so friendly. The gala meal xmas day was out of this world.Yes it is on a hill but you can get free bus tickets from reception to and from town.Highly recommend it,will definately go back.
palm beech hotel is a little far away from the main stip of laventa beach and a good walk at night on quite streets. we were really lucky and got this hotel at a real bargain price so this wasnt really an issue but if you are paying full price it could be the staff are helpful bedrooms small hotel caters for older people over 60 at 40 we felt obvious in fact a rep felt we had to be one of his as you could only book online with his company to his surprise we had found a better deal independantly although we did book online.this was a nice place for the price but having been in benidorm on previous years it is not really a four star hotel although it does have a inside pool
Just spent a week at the Palm Beach, Benidorm - it is a fantastic hotel - everything anyone could wish for. The food is excellent. The rooms have heating and air conditioning. It is up a steepish hill, but that didn't bother us. Taxis are very cheap anyway (approx. 3 euros from centre of Benidorm to hotel). Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. All in all, a wonderful holiday!

... t believe the quality of art work they produced!
This week's camp has been at the Museum of Archaelogy. It's a bit bigger of a group. Water games are incorporated, which the girls appreciate to cool down with! They pack a lunch each day and supposedly are very popular for their peanut butter and jelly that no one here has seen ...

another floor (after all, it wasn’t clothespinned). For a few days, the girls got in the habit of looking out the window, looking down, and saying good night to the out of reach tanktop all the way down. Tess especially loved recounting the story.
Eventually I grieved the loss of my orange tank top. I remembered this experience is ...

From there, we scouted out a local establishment Los

Fascinating to see them use their Spanish to communicate... even more fascinating to meet friends who don't speak English or Spanish (from Russia, Lithuania) and see how language might not be that important to playing after all when you're 5 and 7 years old! Yesterday Moira made the leap to swim topless like her friends :)
