I bought a small bottle of the Lemmoncello and the Cumquat Liqueur . We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.

... bordering the area of the Fort. Corfu does not have the ruins of Athens, or the picturesque blue/white architecture of Santorini...but, there were several great sites and public statues, sculptures, and historic buildings to see.

As expected, everything is surrounded by the Ionian Sea, which makes everything more beautiful, as evidenced by the pictures. Schiff ...

... like we were going to be the only ones on a tour yet again! But we were in luck as one other couple joined us. They were both Greek and lived in New York working in the restaurant industry. They were on their honeymoon - they had the wedding in Athens. They were great to talk to and it was interesting hearing their views on all the things in the news about Greece. They felt that the riots in Athens were over-exagerated. They replay the same footage. But ...
