    ... became a bit confused in the forest so it was difficult to tell where the path was. However, 5km down the road the surface became smooth again and the rain eased up.     ... d see for a while, so although we headed out on the main road, it soon turned to lovely farming country which reminded us a lot of some of our France journey and the lovely back roads 2 years previously. The first three hours saw us continue along the backroads and through tiny little villages in glorious riding weather and thank God, smooth roads.     ... A lovely castle, almost up to National Trust standard and they even had a tea room (which isn't usual at most attractions here) however they didn't serve Victoria sandwich and I had to try coffin biscuits and cream instead - not a bad substitute.
