... Off to Venice!
And now, sadly, we are off to our last location of the trip. Venice, for two nights. I can't believe it's already nearly the end - and it makes me really sad. Two weeks is not long enough. We have such little vacation time in America. At the Agriturismo in Siena, once discussion we had was about vacation (and maternity) time. Decided that was a tad exxy, so we bought two of the most minuscule truffles at the local market and I added them to risotto that night and Noel to scrambled eggs the next morning - Yummo !!
So, we've had a lovely relaxing week in La Morra - next week it's further south to the Ligurian Riviera, Genoa and onto the Cinque Terre

... don't break. Ours has been down hard, and we picked it up, dusted it off, and carried on. Bent and broken bits didn't hold us back. We console ourselves that we are in an exclusive club and we know the secret that these other people haven't worked out. Why you ask, died and gone to Alba, well Alba is the home of Ferrero Rocher.
We left Perletto and our wonderful friends (they we slightly hungover) and took a quick trip to the small village of Alba. It is approximately 50km from Perletto however the trip took over an hour. Once again Fifi and Brendan's driving skills were definitely put to the test. The countryside is truly amazing and how they fit and build homes into these hills and mountains continues ...

Not long after I get on the autostrada the heavens open. I head into a service station to take stock. The weather doesn't look like clearing up any time soon, so I switch to the rain gloves, button up with care, raise the screen and get my head down.
