    ... to get supplies from the open air market for our picnic dinner that night. Then it was on to meet truffle hunters in the hills outside Alba and their dogs which are English pointer cross.     Friday Oct 10 Agriturismo Le Arcate provided the best breakfast of our trip, only hope the photo does it justice. We set off this morning to a Grappa Distillery; our memories of Grappa go back to the 70s and the memories are rather dim because it could only be described as the local rocket fuel.     ... St Andrew, the civic square and the colonnade where the open market operates on Fridays. Our lunch was at a slow food restaurant, Osteria del Boccondivino, where the food highlight was rabbit cooked in white wine.     ... pears, apples, kiwi fruit, cherries etc. The next day after organising things with the tourist bureau we visited some wineries and did some wine tasting. At the first place we went to, Sasha recognised someone’s voice in the back of the winery and lo and behold it was someone she knew in Margaret River who was now here working and doing wine tours.
