    ... Off to Venice!
And now, sadly, we are off to our last location of the trip. Venice, for two nights. I can't believe it's already nearly the end - and it makes me really sad. Two weeks is not long enough. We have such little vacation time in America. At the Agriturismo in Siena, once discussion we had was about vacation (and maternity) time. Decided that was a tad exxy, so we bought two of the most minuscule truffles at the local market and I added them to risotto that night and Noel to scrambled eggs the next morning - Yummo !!

    But then you ...

Why you ask, died and gone to Alba, well Alba is the home of Ferrero Rocher.

We left Perletto and our wonderful friends (they we slightly hungover) and took a quick trip to the small village of Alba. It is approximately 50km from Perletto however the trip took over an hour. Once again Fifi and Brendan's driving skills were definitely put to the test. The countryside is truly amazing and how they fit and build homes into these hills and mountains continues ...

... br> I join the autostrada south of Genoa. Heavy clouds are building.
Not long after I get on the autostrada the heavens open. I head into a service station to take stock. The weather doesn't look like clearing up any time soon, so I switch to the rain gloves, button up with care, raise the screen and get my head down.
