... to me. I understand that stuff happens, but I strongly feel that they need to use their vast computer resources and book me on alternate flights as soon as they make it impossible for me to get the connecting flight. Alternatives should have already been in place when I checked my luggage in and printed my boarding passes. If I had arrived 30 minutes later, or if I had gone back to the ticket counter to try to get it straightened out, who knows where we'd ...

The apartment is lovely and sits next to a canal so we have a view of gondalas passing by very regularly with few other motorized boats. After the basilica we walked back to the hotel to get Sam (he was "över" churches" and had elected to stay behind). With Sam in tow we walked back to San Marco an had a visit to the Doges Palace - this was also facinating , the art work is astounding, Sam loved the armory which has over 200 weapons and the bridge ...

Having been to the main island of Venice before we decided to take an organized tour of the outlying islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Murano is a series of islands, linked by bridges, in the Venetian lagoon, and is famous for its glass-making especially lampworking. The island lies about 1.5 kilometres north of Venice and is about 1.5 kilometers across with a population of just over 5,000. Burano is an archipelago of four islands ...
