... any "lice". I could not for the life of me figure out what he was saying. Finally, he repeated it slowly and he was saying "lace" with his Australian accent. Only got maybe 5 or 6 hours of sleep so 6am was not too pleasant a time to rise. Wasn't in much of a rush to get down to breakfast considering they haven't been anything extraordinary in the past and this place wasn't exactly the Ritz. ... that seems to approach a wide straight or narrow straight street. The room is nice with a modern decor, queen bed, couch and chair and access to a roof terrace all very nice. There is a shared bathroom but that's okay. After a little getting settled time we went out heading towards the Rialto Bridge and eventually St Mark's Square. Venice was very much as I pictured it.
