      Within the foundations of the monastery is the library, which contains books from the 4th to 18th centuries. The arched ceilings with bookcases containing the ancient books are just there. You are trusted to look and not touch! Needless to say, their most precious manuscripts, books and bibles are either displayed in a protective cabinet or in a vault elsewhere.

      ... Lorraine had a wonderful time at the small but beautiful gallery of naive art.

      From Zagreb we made the long bus haul to Dubrovnik. While a mecca for tourists it is, however, quite magical. We walked the narrow alleyways, we cruised around it and Clare and Lorraine conquered the city wall. Not a bad effort for a woman in her eighties, Clare not Lorraine. We now call her 'Clare of the Wall'.
