... we had arrived in town in time for the annual junior regional (read Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, etc.) competition. Luckily we were able to watch these races while swimming and diving off the dock in front of the "stands". Very cool!

Overall, Lake Bled was an excellent stop and we even stayed an extra day to linger a little more. We would gladly go back any ...

There was a fire in the caves during the war, ...

To maintain an average speed of 60km/hour is difficult. Oh well, we were on holiday so what’s the rush. So to the sound of German rock and roll on the radio we took a leisurely drive from Switzerland into Italy and then into Austria where we stopped at a small camp ground in Glanz. Three countries in one day. Not ...

... exploration of the underworld. It's quite funny how many random and interesting people you stumble across when travelling. I then wondered over to the jetty and sat down, staring at the blistering sun, with my legs dangling in the lake. I finally seized a rare opportunity to leap from the jetty with nobody else around... Lauren had the camera ready and I jumped into the freezing water. Although, cold it felt refreshing. We didn't want to leave Lake Bled really. ...
