They have a whole row of trash cans that empty underground (paper, plastic, glass, trash, etc) the recycling trash cans are free, but you have to pay by the kilogram to throw away non-recyclable trash.     ... that sounded from the cattle that had gathered in the field beneath our balcony. Seems like cows wake as early as roosters.

    At breakfast, we learned from Marjana and her son Miha that they have 20 cows and 20 pigs. They keep them for milk and meat for the family and tourists who stay with them throughout the year. From the cow's milk, they make butter, clotted cheese and milk. The cows are milked twice daily.
