... order a tea and a cappuccino. We didn't even complicate the order by asking for a large cappuccino. No problems we thought..... Wrong!!! Cappuccino was delivered without an issue however my tea was bloody pink! Pink no less. Rather like the colour of Ribena which seeped from a bag containing 400 different flowers and herbs. Bugger me! It tasted like all gods creatures had pee d on those flowers and herbs as well. Been a true Yorkshire man who ...

At the checkout I 'pretended' to be Slovenian by using what few words I knew, guessing what was being said to me in Slovenian and responding accordingly with body language and simple sounds of affirmation or denial. That night, in our rather lovely hotel, Kayla and I slept with the window open to let in the fresh, peaceful country air - no noisy traffic here!

... there is a church on the island smothered in trees and the spire just reaches above the trees. Circling the lake, we soon realised that many families were visiting. A few wooden boats sailed across to the island but other than that the lake was untouched. Eventually we found a spot to lay our towels down and enjoy the glorious sunshine next to 4 jetties. Already, small children were diving, jumping and skidding into the lake whilst their laughs, screams ...
