... the huge theatre where the lighting & seating were being dismantled but Dick’s legs were complaining loudly so we retreated to the residencia at about 4pm.
The locals eat dinner after 7.30 but we managed to find a place at 7 & had a good dinner before retiring at 9pm.

... and we mentioned Seattle, the owner said that he knows Rick Steves who indeed has visited his restaurant. Very proudly he brought out his tablet to show us the video clip. Wine was poured with a very unique aerator that is hand blown glass from Italy. When Kathy asked where we might get one the owner said he would sell us one. Another souvenir of our trip!
Verona has been a lovely stop and one to recommend for a short stay en route to Venice.

Upon check-in we were informed that Sunday was the last of a three day regional wine tasting event being held in Verona old town. Over sixty wineries of the Veneto region offered Soave, Valpolicella, Amarone and a few Sparkling wines for visitors to try. The tasting was great bargain ...
... and then the Dave Matthews Band concert tomorrow night! A little risky, since my first midterm is Monday morning at 9:00 am, but who can pass up Dave Matthews Band in Florence. I can't betray a fellow Virginian!!
Anyways, lots coming up!! Midterms this week, then off to Prague, London, and Paris for Fall Break starting this Thursday!! Wish me luck on exams, I need all the luck I can get. Love and miss everyone back home and at school!
