... of the beautiful beaches on the island. Here more kimchee in production. They are washing the lettuce, and it was about 50 degrees, so I would think their hands would be cold pretty fast.
The crab season is just winding down, so most of the fishing boats are in and the pots are stacked all over the island.
The first beach we visited was Dumujin port ...
... one of the first because I still was learning the subway system in Seoul. But I remember one time waiting for the subway and standing next to these two highschool girls, in uniforms, who were staring at me. I'm pretty used to stares now, but then, it was a bit unnerving. As well, they were whispering about something. Then, one of them spoke up. "You have a beautiful nose." I remember laughing inside about two ...

After the sauna I took advantage of the great products in the next room. I made friends with an American guy, which was interesting.
Now they're booting me off the computer, so I'd better go enjoy a night of Korean cable TV before I get my room service call in the morning. ttyl! I'll put photos up tomorrow when I'm at the airport. I can't wait to get in to Germany!!!

... and literally just throw all our stuff right in the Hotel lobby. Check-in isn't for a few hours and all so then its off to walking around. Now this trip is probably just gonna be a long list of "Firsts" for me, so here we go first: plane ride, Subway, and even Taxi. I know i know. So we got on the subway, not bad, then went to bupyeoung, to walk around in the market, which I must say is pretty awesome, well ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. mhubbard008... shopping area would be like in the orient. You can get everything you want at South Gate Alley. Our time was over and we had a long drive back to the ship thru evening rush hour traffic. I say long in that I was told it was long. When we arrived, I mentioned that the ride back was shorter that the one going and I was told that was because I was awake durning the morning trip. So it was a great tour in which I learned, toured, ate, bought, and even slept. We enjoyed this taste ...
Incheon, Korea Rep. danharriet... the morning with a nervous breakdown! I think I am irritating the other teachers with my stress, but I am really have trouble adjusting! Today should be pretty nice. Only 5 classes and then I can sit down and plan for a few hours without leaving my desk! I have a desk!!!! The new building is beautiful and the teacher's lounge is big and there is actually room to walk around! Yahoo! All the other teachers in the old building are so jealous. Anyway, I immediately went ...

As I moved towards the third inner gate, the looming presence of Mt. Bugaksan, one of several mountains surrounding Seoul, came into view. Known as Geunjeongmun, the third gate served as the southern entrance to the royal throne hall called Geunjeongjeon. The large hall used to be the venue of important state functions, such as court officials' audiences with the emperor, receptions ...
Today I am going for my check up for my eye. It looks sooo much better! Not perfect yet (its still red and a little swollen). The medical lab work already came back and everything was fine, so I guess I dodged a potential bullet there! Iam convinced this is my body reacting to all the pollution in this city. Anyway, I have to wear my glasses still....thank goodness I brought both pairs so I have more options regarding which frames match my outfits best ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. april.abate... yori, the list goes on and on. It's a bit like learning Italian if you already speak French. Q: Can I come visit? A: Yes. But, if you're coming with a boyfriend/girlfriend, 5 of your closest friends, etc. you'll probably need to stay in a hotel. I will likely only have enough floor space for one person, and even then it will be cramped. For more detailed information, ask Kristine about the time she came to stay with me in Tokyo :) The hotel ...
Seoul, Korea Rep. roadballmint... to live such strict lives and rarely laugh with someone that is 'supposed' to be their superior. ********* if you ask me. They are not that much younger than me and I never really felt I was more than 17 to begin with so we get along just fine. Don't get me wrong, they can be a pain in the ass and I dread every class before it starts but by the time we get things going and I have made them laugh once ...
