We travelled at dawn to see the local population immersing themselves in the Ganges for purification. We walked through the streets before dawn and they were already very busy. We mostly managed to avoid the cow pats that were prevalent and travelled upstream for about half a mile watching the hoards performing their ceremonies on the steps. ... have a habit of pushing in any queue or looking over the person in fronts shoulder so I stood my ground , after about an hour I got to the front, passed my form over and it was all right ! Got the tickets and off we went.
