A curious arrangement - each hotel or restaurant "owns" a section of beach from the promenade to the near the water's edge. You can walk the water's edge but not sunbake on the beach unless you pay!     We moved on from San Remo to Finale Ligure, which is further east on the Italian Rivera. We parked right next to the sea against a rock breakwater and within sight of the beach resort. On route we tried to get into another Motorhome stopover, which was full. Whilst reversing out we hit a lamp post and smashed a light cluster on the back box. Blame is yet to be decided.     300 km's today but it was not a beautiful trip. Since we left France, the roads are less good and not so nice to drive. Maybe because we left the sea side and drove into the middle of Italy. In the morning, I swam about half an hour in the sea when Jim was preparing his motorcycle and get the tent in the correct way in his bag.
