Once we get to the pub I noticed that I ended up getting 7 people to come along with me which was great. The pub had happy hour (which was really two hours) and Scotch ale, so I was in a happy place. I got to try my first veggie empanadas which were good, but I don't totally get. We pub hopped and slowly the group broke up heading home to ...

Today it was bare, with a few lingering patches of snow. It's the height of summer here, so the primary activities are hiking, not skiing. After taking the gondola high above Bariloche, followed by another long chair lift to the summit, we began our descent.

We set off from the still rainy Puerto Vares and headed for Argentina, our 15th country and one we didnt expect to visit. On the bus we met a nice couple, Justin from South Africa and Heather from England. We passed through the border and for some reason ended up sitting on the bus with the engine running for over an hour before pulling away. The clouds broke for a while to reveal the dramatic mountains and lakes before closing in again as ...
