Approfittando degli spostamenti per andare a prendere i farmaci sono riuscita a vedere di persona Onna e Paganica. Le foto non sono diverse da quelle che i giornalisti hanno già pubblicato, ma a per servono per ricordare cosa hanno visto i miei occhi.
In particolare Onna è inquietante; mi ricorda un paesino dell'Angola dopo i bombardamenti...
Che ne sarà? Qual è il futuro di quelli che vivevano lì? Quanto dovranno stare sotto una tenda?

Da brava infermiera non ho potuto fare a meno di andare a vedre l'ospedale de L'Aquila; se ne è tanto parlato.
La struttura principale è in piedi, i danni sono agli impianti e all'interno, chiaramente non l'ho visto, ma ho visto come sono messi adesso i colleghi.

It has a main street for pedestrians, perpendicular to the coast that is reminiscent of Cavill Ave, Burleigh, or even Roma street in Brisbane. Hello to all.... First, so sorry about the lack of pictures, we now have access to a computer but it's having some trouble allowing us to download photos. I know that that is one of the best parts so we'll try and get on it as soon as possible! (Everything is in Italian on the computer though so you have to give us credit for trying : ) ) yeah we got the pics up!!! But as for now to let you know what we are up to... Mountain high, river low; today Gran Sasso, highest peak in the Appenines. Geared up we took the cablecar up then walked up to the refuge. After lunch in Aquila's main piazza we drove to the Adriatic to see how it compared to the Tirrenian sea. The rocky beach was a new treat for the kids, and the acqua sea (with waves!) enticed them all. A late night drive back-to sleep in our own beds-love staycations!

Sunday morning, my cousin Carmine took me to an ancient montestary built into the side of the mountain in the National Park of Majella in Badia. His friend, Stefano, is the caretaker who opens the place on Sundays. Sunday, mid-day, I hooked up with my great grandfather's side of the family, checked out some family sights, and had a super lunch.
