... 8km/5 miles away. That may not seem like a lot but when your day is going to be 77 kilometers to begin with, it MATTERS! At the very least, it would be nice to get directions on the best way to get to the route you are supposed to eventually get going on. My email to the tour operator, it being Saturday and not office hours, went unanswered.

Thus on Sunday, we rushed to get ready. The instructions were very specific about having your ...

It was Dutch countryside tour day and we had to be at the ticket office by 8.15. So it was an early breakfast and it was off to catch the tram. We were in a double decker bus and it was full, so the tourist trade in Holland is alive and well.

After dinner, Anna decided that I needed to try Bitteballen (stuffed meat and potato type croquettes), so we went to her local pub, and had a few. I am not a huge fan. I think these ones had a lot of cumin (or some other spice) in them, which I didn't like. The beer was good though (Erdinger (German) and Affligem (Belgian?)). That's all for today!

... apparently (according to Will) everyone seems to be good looking, women and men. He was right, it was rather strange! We had a little coffee in a cafe just as the rain started to go crazy! We headed back to the flat but saw Sian on our way so she gave me a little tour of one of the infamous cheese shops. There were samples everywhere and it’s safe to say we consumed about a kilo of cheese! Strangely flavoured cheese like pesto cheese, but ...
