A day in Odessa
... by coffee. Oh and I forgot, Gill started with Champagne, me a Sancerre, followed by an excellent Chateau neuf de pape followed by a monbazilliac each. Which of cause could explain why we cannot exactly recall what we ate.
Anyway, it was so good that we have booked again for Thursday night in Santorini (our last night on board L)
So as I type, we have fallen into bed, somewhere in the Black sea to get a good nights sleep ready for Yalta tomorrow. Good night.

First steps in Ukraine
7.30am train to Odessa via Transniestra. All went smoothly with no issues at the borders, and we arrived on time. The train is not very comfortable though, and we were in the soft seats carriage.. the remaining 4 had wooden, bench seats.

Kurze Besichtigung von der „Heldenstadt“ Sevastopol. Es gibt hier sehr viele Memorials zu besichtigen, die vor und nach verschiedenen Kriegen entstanden sind. Sevastopol ist eine sehr geschichtsträchtige Stadt und war bis 1991 eine geschlossene Stadt in die nicht mal die Krimbewohner rein durften. Nach wie vor ist in Sevastopol die russische Schwarzmehrflotte beheimatet.

Odessa's a pleasant city to walk around - there are a few sights, and it's quite small so you can go anywhere on foot. But it's for the same reasons that you run out of things to do.
