... so I thought it was going to be stupid expensive. I was very surprised when it cost half the price of my last one! I got my ticket and waiting for my bus. As I waited for my backpack to be loaded on the bus I realized I wasn't nervous anymore. Normally on travel days I am terribly nervous and miserable, but today I felt fine! My observations: You don't have to speak the same language to make friends; Befriending a South American who speaks small amount of English is gonna be my best ...

My observations: D) ...

... so I go ask the guy at the ticket booth. His response from my understanding was it's coming and will be on some platform. So I go back down there and wait 25 minutes later my bus shows up. Old men have this weird attraction to me. There was some confusion when the bus first arrived we weren't totally sure this bus was for us. This old man asked if it was after which I showed him my ticket to make sure we were going to the same place. Looking back ...

    ... one-way five lane boulevards.

So here's a qustion: what do you do at a beach resort in winter? On the advice of the guidebook I visited the port. I got off the bus at a cluster of tacky all-you-can-eat restaurants (plastic tables, plastic menus) around a car park, got directions to the wharf and went for a walk.

The wharf was two kilometres long, curving out to sea. A group of sea lions were lazing on the beach, presumably ...
