We had a chilled weekend and this evening we went for a walk down on the local beach and took some more photos back up to the village in which we are staying. Later we wander onto the seafront and enjoy a good meal, in the open-air, at the Incontro Restaurant. As we are leaving it starts to rain quite heavily....... we shelter for a few minutes then run back to the hotel thankfully without getting too wet!

The weather was not looking good, quite drizzly and even the odd flash of lightning over Messina. I shall be glad to get to our final tour destination, well final for me, as I then return home, home from Sicily on Friday but there are still three full days ...

I survived the Trans-Atlantic flight!

I have arrived! It was a long flight without too much sleep, but fairly uneventful. The first thing I met in Naples were stairs. In an airport, with two bags. Several flights of stairs, and this is a large airport! What happened to escalators? I have heard you do a lot of stairs in Italy, but I didn't expect them in the airport! Once upstairs, I wandered around a bit trying to find a certain restaurant where I was supposed to meet ...
