... home we said we would stop there. Well Silvana was so excited she was telling Michael to over take cars as she wanted to get there quickly! When ever she saw a break in the traffic she was egging him on! Haha the Scoglio does have the best gelatos I have ever tasted, and everyone agrees.
Nephew David has organised with the Fagnano gym to hold a training session for them doing a combination of group fitness exercises and a bit ...

... the company who told him to continue (2 tyres each side & so balancing on the one) for 30 mins when we stopped, all stayed in bus, tyre changed & off to Naples. Wow traffic chaos but fun. Boiling hot, people jumping out of cars to walk, scooters everywhere, all windows down so everyone could talk as they passed each other....mad but friendly! Lovely old world hotel on waterfront "Grand hotel vesuvio" Nice way to finish this years ...

... We followed the directions to the first village then followed yellow arrows as directed (felt I was back on the Camino when we weren't lost!) . Who knows where and how we went wrong but ended up through olive groves on very faint overgrown track climbing through brambles ( just a few scratches here and there) obviously on private land - lots of spider webs but I fixed that...Vicki loves to go first! ... all had to duck our heads it was so low! Well worth the 7 euros each.

Then we went into the castle courtyard and went up on the balcony for lunch at The Bounty Bar where I had salmon ravioli (so good) and Neil had gnocchi which he raved over. ... this train trip. These musings have made up a large part of my travels in general, so why not share it with the internet. Such is the way of my generation. ---------------- These are rugged mountains - the ones with sheer faces of rock, so new and untamed that even trees or grass can't grip on to the cliffs yet.
