    ... mechanical struck this time a blow out literally my tire exploded and off came me steers again glad the pins were shaved. 3 mile trek with a fully laden bike and flat tire in 32 degree heat is not fun to a nice bike shop who fleeced me 65 euros for fitting a new tire and tube( 30 quid in uk) very resourceful these DUtch.     Boy dropped us at the Central Station in Bonn where we boarded the local traing to Cologne (Koln) to transfer to the international non stop train to Amsterdam. The train to Amsterdam was delayed 90 minutes giving me time to visit the Cologne Cathedral, one of the largest and most ornate in the world.     On our final day in Shanghai we headed out of Shanghai. Caught a local bus for 12 yuan ($2) to an historic river village about an hour outside of Shanghai called Zhujiajiao. Exiting the bus station, we first loaded our combined Anglo weight into the back of a tuk tuk, which a small elderly man then struggled to pedal down the street to the river front.
