... that I was nice and early- as the campus gates lock at 10pm, so I had to make sure I make my train home. Great train ride back, as it was still light outside, so I was able to see much of the country side, mostly agriculture and farm country--great views!!! Even at the speed (305km/hr)-- the crazy part was passing another 30 car train took less then 2 seconds! Dalian is very alive at ...

Dad's 87th birthday and Graduation Ceremony at Dalian No 14 High School with Gary Timm's Wilfred Owen playet, Gavin's choir singing war songs, and then Gary's Cinderella in Boots which was hysterical. A great afternoon with really professional presentations from the school leavers.

... covering old ground. I showed them the film clip of my old tutor group, 8CLI, which they had put together for our assembly and said it really brought home to me what a diverse bunch of students a class consisted of. I spoke for nearly 1.5 hours altogether and gave the teachers some opportunity for input and discussion. All the teachers were involved in discussion, apart from Rob, who is a 54 year old British Chemistry teacher ...
