... the world.
There was entertainment in the bar. A violinist and a pianist and a MC...not sure why they needed a MC, maybe no English?? They were very good, I wish Sue Ball was here to tell us - because I know they were not symphony caliber but very good musicians, and this job gives them a chance to do what they love. Make a living? Not sure about that...although there are many, many tourists.

We arrived in Cologne at noon, and after another delicious lunch we headed off on a tour of the city, which is dominated by the Cologne Cathedral. One word for the Cathedral - WOW!!! Us Catholics sure know how to spend the peasants money!!...:-)

Early this morning, about 4.30, we sailed passed Frankfurt and onto Cologne, berthing at about 1pm. We opted for the city walking tour which was about 1.5 hour duration. We learnt about the history of Cologne, or Koln as it is called in Germany. With a population of 1 million, it's the 4th biggest city in Germany (behind Berlin, Hamberg, Munich). The Romans established a settlement at this location on the Rhine about 2000 years ago and it has has continuous settlement ever ...
