Tuesday 23rd Dec - I know I'm getting a little repetitive, but ever since I saw this place on a TV program I have wanted to visit it in real life, so this was our chance as its only a short train trip from Bari. It's a picturesque village that is another World UNESCO heritage site for its unique "trulli" houses that have cone shaped roofs.

... around lunch found a Q8 (Kuwait) service station and had lunch in the Cafe, two lovely Pasta dishes, Jens came with Mussels which then turned into my meal. Craig is usually excellent but the map was **** and when we ended up in the residential area (full of all white houses), most of them had no idea how to direct us (??? No comment). We eventually made it back to the square and had a drink and then found the Via del Cattedrale – lovely ...

... in the photos. We had a great walk around the Rione Monti area, which has lots of homes with the cute roof & pinnacle. We also saw nice churches and went inside one (now a museum) to get an idea of what they are like. Another highlight was purchasing Craig’s first birthday gift – very nice leather ‘man bag’. The town is quiet and easily facilitates cars and tourists – although as usual we had a panic to ensure ...
