... We then spent some time walking around the rest of the town with the guide pointing out interesting things along the way. We stopped for a bit of lunch and then Mr S and I took another walk around the town and went back to the cathedral for a second look. Our B&B was situated on the edge of a large lagoon and is the only extant oyster farm in Belguim. We had really fallen on our feet staying here our hosts were kind and helpful and our accommodation spacious and comfortable.Since we had an unexpected day of leisure we decided to explore the town centre and see what Ostende had to offer. Off out on more walking adventures. Saw on yesterdays bus trip 3 large real windmills and was keen to find them again. Trusty map we found them lovely things blowing in breeze also found a wedding party and a crowd of people doing sword fighting. Proper thing all dress up and very formal crowd watching. Saturday sport in Brugge no doubt. Wondered back through little streets pleased with ourselves at not even getting lost .Had picnic lunch at canal side then more wandering..Home ...
