Tonight is our last night in France. We have had a very busy and action packed few days here, and are almost looking forward to the 2 hour train ride back to England. We will spend one more night there before flying out of Heathrow for Toronto early Sunday morning (we are just going to spend Saturday night to Sunday at the airport since we need to be there by 6:30am anyway). With the exception of yesterday, the weather has been pretty gray and sometimes rainy. We have definitely gotten use ou...

... and New Moon (don't judge) for the weekend of my birthday (very exciting) and then we decided to stroll around and shop for a bit. Since it was so late in the evening, we only had an hour or so to shop, then everything closed down. We decided to grab a cup of coffee, so we began a search for a café. We finally found an open restaurant on the top of a building, so we grabbed a table and ordered a few coffees. After enjoying our drinks and talking about random things, we ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France ab10... you jump in front of their walking path butttt that´s about it for the ´´helpfulness´´ category...
But really there´s no disputing that Paris is filled with treasures to see and take pictures of. Though it is definitely on the expensive side. It is for this reason that though I would love to stay..two days will have to cut it for my pocket..but its an amazing experience here!
... Carlo, just to go back to Paris for one last glance at that Eiffel Tower. University wasn't that bad, more like a step up. Unfortunately her professors weren't really that encouraging, she was overenthusiastic yet didn't really receive much reciprocation from the staff... « La Maison française » was more or less a joke at the University of Georgia, where in reality the only time she spoke French was in her once a week mandatory conversation ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France erinkoval... people just gather, sit, and enjoy the view. Upon the entrance into the cathedral, it was very quiet. The high arched ceilings were beautiful and the detail in every nook and cranny was amazing!! After the Cathedral we went to the Deportation Memorial for all the French Holocaust victims. There wasnt much to it, but on the inside of the memorial, there was a hall lined with tiny lights representing all those who didnt make it out of the concentration camps ...
Paris, France cdauphin... rose. A little young but it washed down the French Stick okay. I then had the rhubard tart for dessert. Afterwards we walked back to Notre Dame to take photos as the previous day the camera ran out of batteries. After that we walked through some of the oldest areas in Paris and caught the train home. Madelines best freind who she went through school with and her husband came over to see us, and we went out for dinner. It was a rest that specialised ...
Paris, France sophieandmartin... to a very worried Megan. We then found our departure gate, which was just a piece of paper with our flight number scribbled on it. They checked our boarding pass, and sent us outside onto the tarmac with a whole row of planes on it. We had to then work out which plane was ours, and just walk over to it. It was all a bit surreal. All this time we have been looking forward to our first flight since the start of the holiday! Taking off over Marrakech was amazing, as it ...
Lacanau, France annijavaltteri... statues. My daughter liked a life-size one of a whippet, and my son liked squeezing into the small space between a plinth and the wall. They had a great time.
The onset of heavy rain meant that our walk up the Champs Elysees was more like a trudge up the Damp Elysees. Whilst Paris may be romantic in the spring, a sou'wester is recommended. We ended up at L'Arc de Triomphe, which is always impressive, though hardly accessible under the ...
