We enjoyed classic Italian music and modern American hits while singing, laughing, and dodging cars ascending the mountain on the dark narrow roads. Tomorrow we head to Florence. The trip will take about 8 hours so we will not have a post. We'll catch up to you in Florence on the 30th. Quote of the day from Leigh, "We have averted tragedy for the rest ...

... needed to get some groceries so the villa owner organised a lovely gentleman to pick us up, take us to the supermarket and then drop us back home. Service is excellent.

    Love to all xxxxxx

Tomorrow we head for Rome for the last three days of our holiday. I have to say that Steve has done a magnificent job driving in conditions that many would not have considered even trying. I am so proud of him. Tonight we are going up for steaks on the rooftop and a glass of red and tomorrow - Rome here we come!!!
    Love to everyone,

I wrote out a complaint (complaint box in the foyer) telling them that there must be a better way to do this procedure. Next day a nice lady from Admin, rang me to explain that most people were worried about giving in their passports. We are always told never ...
