Our plan was to head south towards a Nature Reserve that showed lots of lakes and windmills on the ...

Today we woke up to the sound of a screaming Northerly wind,
so cold that it must have originated at the North Pole, and with it came an icy
rain. We had a light breakfast and hung around hoping that the weather might
improve. No such luck, so we packed up in the rain and headed further North
towards a place called Leeuwarden which is a very touristic town in an area
