I got to Elafonisi about 4 so only had an hour to enjoy the beach there (stunning) before a bus back to Chania at 5. I thought about staying the night but because of my ankle decided against it. I did manage to go around the back of the cemetery via the beach and have a look though so all ...

My helmet was giving me problems (couldn't get the chin strap to adjust) so I tried to track down a branch of the rental company which was, allegedly, somewhere in Chania. The brochure only listed a street, no number. Also a phone number, but as I'd figure out after asking around it's a non-working/not-real number. And there's no such branch ...

... a monastery, and did have a bit of an olive oil tasting, but did not see olive mills, vineyards, or any wine/raki tasting, nor did we get to Rethymnon. It was unclear if it was a complete schedule change (from our request to change days), or due to the intense rain that we could not get to what was planned. The guide was very good, but lunch in a restaurant was a bit different from what we ...
