... really knowing if anything had been placed in our bags. Arrived at our hotel the Hotel de Paris. The hotel is inside the Old Town and right next to the Municipal Building - Prague's social & cultural centre. The Hotel de Paris is beautifully decorated in the art nouvelle style - high ceilings and modernist art work. We dropped our bags, put our coats on and set out on a walk. The weather was overcast and around 3 degrees. It's a short stroll to the Old Town Square where ...

We had an amazing day today! After getting up fairly early we headed to Old Town with a few other members of our group before getting distracted by a chocolate museum. We stopped there and had some delicious homemade pralines and coffee. As we had a free day we wandered around enjoying the sights and the beautiful city. ... magical but we couldn’t find any!

As we walked into the old town and then into the Old Town Square we hit the jackpot with Christmas markets! Massive Christmas tree in the centre also to complete the mood. By the square is the famous Astronomical Clock, it is the third oldest being first installed in 1410 and the only one still working. Every hour it chimes and the characters around the face move and little windows reveal other characters. ...
