We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.

He was a cranky old man and was raising his voice, gesturing from us to the hotel positioned directly across the road. We had no idea what to do. We had already paid for our accommodation in Sarande which we were unable to use at all and we were now contemplating paying for a night in ...

... for a beer. We were unexpectedly joined by our taxi driver. On first sitting down he tried to revive his sales pitch from earlier, but after turning it down again, he decided his luck was out and returning back was a case of 'well I'm not gonna get any more money out of these lot, lets get them back ASAP!'

We ate lunch at Demi, where Dad took his first selfie and continued to work on his transformation into an omelette, while I decided it would be a good idea ...
