... they hold the the annual Film Festival. Just couldn't resist walking the red carpet - it's much longer and higher than we'd thought!

Lovely town for sitting outside a cafe and watching the beautiful and rich strutting their stuff - not to mention gawping at the number of superyachts in the marina and anchored just off the beach (maybe they couldn't afford the berth fees!).

... so got a good view on the little train. We then walked through the old part of town to the old fort on top of the hill.
We ventured through the food markets, this was amazing...they also sold flowers and was surprised to see how cheap they were here....bunch of 10 roses 8 euros..large bunches of mixed flowers 10 euros ...they were about a third of the price that we would pay in Aus.

... Must have got back about 9pmish and I was on dinner duty. Made a pasta with bacon, onions in a tomato sauce. Had to leave it simmering for ages while the pasta cooked in batches which meant it tasted amazing! Or could be because we were all starving hungry and it was 1030 by the time we were eating. Talked some rubbish for a while but was a quiet evening which wasn't what I expected but since we were staying in nice it would be a bit difficult to have a big night in Monte ...

... not help myself as every corner was just as beautiful as the street before it. I finally had to pull myself away and catch the bus back to the Train Station at 3pm to return to Cannes.

Wednesday was spent preparing for my trip up to Paris on Thursday, given that the train left at 8am. I had tried to organise to take Tim out for dinner to say thank you for adopting me, however, his social life meant that he was otherwise engaged and I had a quiet dinner on my own.

... proud that he made it up there. Oh but the view was worth every pedal! We stand overlooking the ocean and the whole town, simply beautiful. We take some pictures on the other side of the hill of villefranche before making our way back down the hill at full speed, I can't help but let out a yell and a yippee as we speed down the French mountainside. I wish I had a camera on my helmet to show you the view and the pure awesomeness of this experience. ...
