    Hotel rooms in France tend to be quite small, but very clean. We learned that in general you are not to have food or beverages in your room. But if there is a mini-refrigerator present, then it is permitted. Lucky for us this hotel had a mini-refrigerator and a grocery store on the block (where we bought a knife in addition to groceries), so we've been able to eat a few meals in our room.

    Today we drove and arrived at Charite Sur Loire. We arrived about 5:20 as on the way, we spotted a go karting place and Max and Dad did two lots of a 10minute race.     ... frogs leaping in the water as we approached and huge red and blue dragonflies. Guy kept his eyes peeled in the forest for any wild boar or deer but still no luck.

    ... lingo - definitely improving in both vocab and confidence, with Andy able to understand and say the most and Matthew helping out with words we've forgotten. A typical Logis with excellent food for a €20 3 course meal - and having seen the trolley of cheeses as we left (like the old-fashioned dessert trollies brought to your table) Andy was keen to return again!
