    ... hills and coastline punctuated by the darkness of frequent road tunnels. A shopping expedition to factory outlets at Serravalle (think Versace, Prada, Dolce and Gabanna etc) was followed by a visit to Verona where we had photos with the statue of Juliette and had dinner in the main square with a couple, Mikaela and Chris who only live twenty minutes away from us in Brisbane. We finally arrived to our hotel on the outskirts of Venice after 10pm.
