      First day arrived late from Paris and walked into town and stopped in for some pasta. Today we went to Cannes for the day as you do, weather was lovely till around 5 when it rained but saw lots of nice sites and crazy prices (canvas coloured casual runners 200E, bathers 200E but probably made for 3E.. Tomorrow we are off for a cruise to Monaco and the palace.

      Monaco was amazing and some much money in one ...

      ... 00 and were closed all day the next day. I wasn't too sad about it because I'll be seeing plenty of museums! The next thing on the list was the castle ruins located on the top of a hill overlooking the beach. There wasn't much left of the castle, but the view of Nice was spectacular from up there, especially right at sunset! By then, it was way past time for some food. I found a place in Old Nice where they served fish ...

      ... first so sat in the park watching a lot of french men playing Bocce.

      When Leon came out, walked up to a lovely old church and wandered through the gardens, awesome views and beautiful flowers. Took some time to stop and smell them.

      Got back on the bus which drove around some very windy roads back to the train station, walked back decided on an early night.
