... we will stay for the next five days and then make day trips from there. Montecatini is a resort town know for its spa treatments and relaxing atmosphere. Some of the travelers will be taking advantage of the spa opportunities tomorrow when the rest of us travel to?? Can't remember! Dinner last night was at the hotel. ... Castello, a cute town not too far away. It was a fabulous celebration not only of truffles, but of locale fruits, legumes, porcini mushrooms and all sorts of fun-guys!!

CDC also had a fabulous castle (Rocca) full of medieval suits of armour and the usual gorgeous via's and piazza's

... Assissi. Of course the home of St Francis of Assissi the town is lovely perched atop the mountain But the main attraction is the Upper and Lower cathedrals built for him that house his tomb. Seems they built a gorgeous gothic church but had more funds so built another Romanesque style one on top of it! Lots of priests and monks around ...
