... hotel on the train and had dinner at an Italian place next door with a group of other Expats. I had a wonderful day today. It rained on me, I took far too much cash out at the ATM, I tried to speak some Czech and asked for a vino (Czech and Italian for wine) instead of a pivo (beer) and didn't end up at the Petrin Tower like I'd hoped, but I had a fabulous day anyway, wandering around at my own pace without time restrictions, absorbing all the beauty, sights and sounds! ...
... wanted to go (no one ever told me there was one in QLD!!!) so we went for dinner with the aim to walk out with a photo and merch. Turns out it was full of men, American sport on tv and none of the girls had fake boobs. But the food was American and our waitress was lovely telling us all about her life, uni, exams, moving house, Xmas, going to Texas and New York (with hooters) and was super nice. ... of our afternoon touring the synagogues and learning the history of huge Jewish faith. It got a bit long and it wasn't what I was expecting. The last synagogue that we visited had more history and artifacts from WWII and that was very interesting and sad. The kids got quite bored and didn't much appreciate visiting all of these places. ... very close to the American Embassy. There are two parts to this museum. The downstairs part mostly has a lot of words (in English) on the walls, and not a whole lot to actually see. The other part is the tower that a famous alchemist, Kelly, used. There are 60 steps to the top, and then you feel like you've entered a Halloween funhouse.
