Next morning, cleaned out the loo and water containers and tidied up for the ferry. Thankfully check out time was 12:00 so we were on our relaxed way to IJmuiden lead again by Tom Tom (we use the flight controller voice because he always gives pilots discretion on any directions and reminds us to "watch for traffic as you clear the highway") plus it's not a nagging voice...

One thing I found very freaky about the place was the use of mannequins in the houses. They were in the style of those you'd find in Madame Tussauds but these were really creepy. So I took loads of pictures of them.

... One of the features that we really admired were the enormous thatched roofs made of reeds. Other than farmhouses, we also visited an old cheese factory which was powered entirely by steam, a tram depot (which is still used to service and refurbish the trams used by the museum) and a blacksmith who was working his forge at the time.
