... driven the 100 odd miles to tonights stop, they were soaked

Still, things cant be all bad. Although Im paying for this
stop theres free wifi (when it works), and I managed to put my clothes and bedding
through the washing machine and tumble drier, so that’s a bonus. Oh, and they
have a communal oven too – which means I can cook and clean without using any
of my gas or water – which are such ...

Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...

I absolutely adore Aalborg! It is not a tourist part of Denmark by any means but it is wonderful. The people are so lovely and friendly, it is very safe and clean, the night life is great, it is beautiful and the food!...... I don't think the food gets any better than it does in Denmark!

I have been here twice already but plan on going many more times and hope, one day to go on a more permanent basis :-)

... plugs.
A few miles on and I pull over into a lay-by and put on my gloves and off I
head. Of course right away I realise once again I forgot to put in my ear plugs
and so another stop is required.
The journey to Amsterdam is just under 1000km which is about 600 miles.
When I set up my satnav I simply could not believe it was still so far to
I decided I would head for the town of Aalborg and find a hotel somewhere
in that area.
