... tasty. Then on to Asahikawa where we arrived in the early evening. We had a great meal at a local yakitori place: meat and fish, bbq-ed on skewers on a charcoal fire. A very lively place where the staff was constantly shouting orders to and from the kitchen. After that to bed, still tired from the flight and the time difference. Last Friday we started a ten day hiking trip on the northern island of Hokkaido, which was one of the last islands to be "annexed" by the Japanese.
