... few interesting thing there including some rather nice Japanese cups. They were also extremely expensive and way past my budget. Besides, I couldn't carry anymore in my luggage and we are running out of cash. Time to bring out the credit card. I have only used the credit card for the hotels in Kawasaki and Tachikawa as well as for the chopsticks that I bought from Daimaru yesterday.

It was a one carriage train again but there was a waiting room full ...

We have a lovely lunch in a semi French restaurant what looks like a wooden tree house. Like most places you take of your shoes and walk through the restaurant in your slippers. The whole restaurant is so adorable. It has these cute seats, cushions and a wonderful bathroom. I can't help to take a picture of it. I would love to have a bathroom like ...

... by the different hostels they saw and decided to create their own. It is a small hostel, it only has two bedrooms with a few bunk beds. It is a whole wooden hostel. Basically everything is made out of wood. And there are lots of windows with look outs over the mountains. We quickly dropped our stuff on the beds and left for a drive through and around Furano.

... decks and windows to be able to see the animals very close or almost being in the middle of them. Unfortunately the animals were held alone, without pairs or groups, most of them mentally switched off, doing there endless rounds to have at least some escape from theri boredome.

Sad to see that this type of zoos still exist, we have zoos as well but very modern with motivated animals

Carried on to Asahikawa, where we have had another beer festival at the station. The weather was now definitely turing into rain. This ruined our plan to climb Asahidate an active volcano and we planned for next day another excursion

Thanks to the lady at the tourist information we found an excellent restaurant close by the hotel. Original Japanese food and we enjoyed very much
