... down the beach front took in the sights of the area, inquired in a few places about their opening times and had romantic meal in McDonald's! Unfortunately many of the bars were closing early that evening, so we headed to the downtown are to inquire, only to be told the same thing by all of the bars in town. A little deflated we returned to our local beach bar and a few drinks later and a bit of chatting to our ...

... off some sea lions, and came back. Not a must-do thing, but I got some good pictures I guess.

This morning we went on another Tours 4 Tips with a hilarious guide called Priscilla. She showed us all around the docks and old town of Val Pariso as well as taking us on a funicular (there are lots all over the city because it's so hilly - 10p to ride!) up into the town to see some street art and amazing views over the whole district. She told us all about the history of Val Po as the wealthiest city in Chile and about ...

It was expensive to play 1000 peso chips (over £1) minimum bet on the roulette and 7000 peso (about £8) minimum per hand at black jack. Steve quickly lost 30,000 on the Roulette but won 50,000 on the black jack table ending up 20,000 up so about £25, not a bad night after all. Kerry only had a small bet won and ...

... neighbouring town of Viña del Mar. It's a big contrast from Valparaiso having no graffiti, no colour, and much more modern high rise buildings and condos. It does however have beautiful beaches which we enjoyed for a few hours and was packed with Santaguinos trying to escape the heat of the city. We spent two days out of the city before having to return to meet up with our group and start our tour down through Patagonia. Once we got back ...
