      ... 8:00 to catch the fireworks at midnight. It was an INCREDIBLE I will never forget. The fireworks were beautiful and all over the sky and the beach was filled with people from all over the world.

      We stayed up super late and went to a bar/dance club a couple blocks from the hotel as a big group and had a ton of fun drinking and dancing after the fireworks to celebrate the start of 2015!!

      After the scorchio of Santiago, we were looking forward to a bit more fresh air on the coast, 1.5 hours away, in Valparaiso. It turned out that we didn't see the sun for 3 days as the clouds had arrived when we did. While the sun would have made the town really beautiful, we could still see why people like the city so much. Valparaiso used to be the main port in South America, until the opening of the Panama Canal ...

      ... br> Day 2 After about 7 hours of walking yesterday we decide to go veg out on the beach up the coast at Vina Del Mar. A very picturesque city....if you like high rise apartment blocks. Ive packed my togs for a swim but damn! the water is cold.
