Off to the airport to pick up Mark who has joined us for a few days so we get to see some more of the Island. We then head up to a historical town called Erice for lunch and the views were stunning. We wake up at 5am and dump Alison and Scott on the quay and make a quick get away as 50 miles to do before the windy front arrives, that Is due late afternoon. We make good time and turn the corner of the west coast as the winds pick up so glad to be in harbour by 3. San Vito Lo Capo, lovely town although tastefully touristic with fab beaches all around.. Had a lovely walk into the town centre followed by a tasty ice cream, lots here and quite tasteful for a tourist destination but lucky for us it's out of season but still busy enough for a nice atmosphere... We never did find the two fresh fish ...

... was with me though, so we left Jo and B behind to wander around the sad old (smelly) farm animals at the hotel, and set of for Segesta. Apparently, there is a lot to see at the ruins but we confined our visit to the temple. Flynn may have been with me at the hotel, but he seemed somewhat less enthusiastic as I hauled him up the dusty track to see the temple. ... the water was amazing. The kids are getting brown as buttons except for their chests... they're the only kids with rashies/swim shirts on that we've seen. Italian children seem a little too brown.
