... here focused more on meats and foods that we don't usually enjoy. The fresh vegetables and fruits in Turkey had spoiled us...but we managed to find enough to sustain life LOL!

After dinner we enjoyed some live music and drinks with our friends Christine and Pelle. We all looked forward to Thursday....our first "independent" day. We elected not to tour with the group but to explore Rhodes on our ...

I took the bus back to Rhodes town today where I was to then find my way to my couch surfing hosts Larissa and Victors house in ialisos the coach however had a small issue with the doors where I was sitting. Smoking I think has not been banned here and I really noticed it but not enough to spoil my wandering. I took a tour train for just 6 euro again around the old town and there really are some wonderful parks and statues and such. Rhodes really is worth a visit it's sunny, the people are friendly and ...

        Weather still gorgeous.
Why the title? This was a gorgeous short stop at this mountainous Island, 41 km N.W of Rhodes of 65.5 sq.km. The population of 2,580, which increases to 6,000 during the tourist season, is mostly engaged in tourism, fishing and trade. (In the 19th century ship building and sponge were main industries.) We arrived 5.00pm, sailing ...
