... in San Marco square. This place was a true gem. Behind the palace walls was room upon room of the most decadent artwork covering the walls and ceilings. It is also home to the largest piece of artwork in the world. This museum was much more than a palace - it included a rich history of Venice's politics and the royal family and included access to the old prison cells and weapons used in war. This city has a colourful history and through my walking ...

The next day was a bit rainy, but we did everything touristy - saw the sights, hit the true Austrian Beer Hall, went to Mozart's house, hit up the only Red Bull Hanger (yes - Red Bull originated in Austria - who knew), went to the Christmas shops, the Museum of Modern Art Panoramic views of the city, and walked all over town - we were whipped, but it was such a fun day!

The music was performed on original instruments with 2 singers. They performed 3 pieces of music; arias from Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute. Dale and I expected that the music wouldn’t be so good as this was a very touristy event, but it was really ...

Today we had a free day in Vienna, which we actually used to go to Salzburg!! Pretty certain this was the day I was looking forward to the most out of the entire trip because it meant Sound of Music tour!!!! Up early at 6am and left around 6:45. Thankfully the train station was about 200m from our Hostel so we Didn't have a long walk at all. Bought our tickets (not cheap, about 95 euro each) Our train was at around 7:30 so we grabbed a bite to eat ...
