Lauterbrunnen, Bernese Oberland, Swiss Alps, Switzerland, 3822, 033-855-1241
After breakfast at the hotel, Barb and I wandered around the town of Beaune. There were winding narrow streets with lots of shops, most selling wine or items related to wine. I relied on the advise of a wine shop owner to purchase a bottle of burgundy to drink on the bus later (it turned out to be terrific!). There was a street market going on and we bought some mustard. Dijon is just up the road and the mustard is world famous. About 10:45 we were on the bus and heading for Switzerland. The ...
Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland deanmarsdenAfter a delicious breakfast at the hotel (great yogurt, fresh bread and local cheeses)most of the tour members joined Jennifer for trip to the Schilthorn. We caught a bus right near our hotel which took us to the gondola. The gondola took us to Gimmelwald, then to Murren and finally to the Schilthorn. It was still early morning when we arrived and it was turning into a beautifully clear and sunny day. The view was priceless! I have seen many photos of the Alps, but the beauty and majesty of t...

Ausserbinn, Switzerland lesterenanne... busting for the loo it would have been so hard to get out of bed! By the way we slept in clothes and hats along with sleeping bags and blankets..brrrr....
So anyway, we got tickets up to a place called Mürren. To get there we took the cable car up to a stop called Grinwald. You could either get the train to Mürren or walk. It was snowy, and icy but not too bad and we had the shoes for it. Was pretty nice 40 min walk. The sun coming up over ...
Lauterbrunnen, Swiss Alps, Switzerland emmasadventures... to Lauterbrunnen for a long train ride and dinner. After doing some quality souvenir shopping, and dinner purchases at the COOP, in Wengen, we got back on the train and rode down to Lauterbrunnen. At the moment, we are enjoying tea time on our deck while viewing the Lauterbrunnen water fall and updating the travel blog.
.
Lauterbrunnen, Swiss Alps, Switzerland jdeinken... our credit cards because they were non France issued. This was absolutely ludicrous considering I can use my Visa card everywhere else - exept in a French train station. so we ended up having to wait in line at the counter anyway and thankfully each of the clerks spoke at least a little English. Needles to say, my favorite phrase in French is "Parlez vous Anglais?" After all that hassle, our train ended up being about 10 minutes late which was fine because we knew we had about a ...
Geneva, Switzerland mjohns41... for a laser light show. There were sooo many people still dancing in the streets. Music was being played in every direction. It was incredible. I brought glow in the dark glasses and wore them with Jessica.. you would not believe how crazy people went over these... i dont think they sell such a thing here. We looked like we could have been filming for revenge of the nerds...:) Later in the night we went to a very posh club called Kaufleuten ...
Zurich, Switzerland timbertime... morning, my team, consisting of Shannon, Anders (one of the Swedes I went road tripping with), Kevin (the Scottsman), Karsten (German fellow) and myself all met at KSB and had to come up with costumes. Karsten had cleverly managed to get us full body white suits, now we just had to decide what to do with them. We thought about being Ghostbusters, but then decided to be team 'INTERNATIONAL' because we had four different nations on our team. We made our costumes, which were pretty darn ...
Neuenhof, Switzerland rlevison... is the possibility of Freedom, Greatness, and Self-Expression. The Tool-Jerk spectrum is relative. What do you mean? Just because you think someone is a Tool doesn't mean someone else can't think them a Jerk? You know what else? Too late. Next thought. But I want to think about Elisa. No. Keep moving. Gotta keep moving. Must keep moving. Must keep flowing. Look at that sunset. What is that farmer guy up to in his tractor over there? There are no cops in this town. I love that ...
