    ... We headed off just after 8am and wound our way through the hills and villages. Needing a couple of toilet stops on the way we walked and talked our way to Arre.     We were on somewhat of a deadline this morning. I had arranged to meet Phil and Louise at Gare de Lyon so the girls could catch the TGV down to Avignon. Phil and I had to then head to Gare Montparnasse to get the TGV to meet the rest of the guys at St.Jean de Luz. So timing was critical and with the long wait for the bags plus the very slow cab ride into town the anxiety was high.

    ... is not working but I am too tired to move on. The hostel is very old with one toilet for boys and one for girls but has 30 people in. Apparently it was voted the worse on the route, I can see why but it has no German.........Yippee.
    The entire hostel goes down to the pub in the evening, the wine is a beautiful Navarra, again strong and fruity at 5 euros a bottle so more than ...
