Did you get the message that the walk to Roncesvalles was gruelling and intense and probably the hardest full day physically I have put in since my army days, a long, long time ago. Today's walk for the first 3kns was flat and under a tree canopy. It didn't remain flat the whole way as we had a steep and stony drop towards the end that was taxing. Again the views were spectacular and worth the walk. We found our accommodation in a pension quite easily ...

So timing was critical and with the long wait for the bags plus the very slow cab ride into town the anxiety was high.

Phil and I arrived at Gare Montparnasse at 10:25 for ...

... and lots of other gorgeous flowers to see. Lots of bird song too although I cannot recognise any birds except the cuckoo, which we heard again, but as I began with the audio book I probably missed other lovely bird sounds. We stopped for a lunch break and took ibuprofen for my foot followed by paracetamol later! After 6 hrs we arrived in Estella and took 40 mins to find our hotel. Had a bath with the laundry again and thought ...

... some famous beef cheek Pintxos which were absolutely delicious!! I love Pintxos. We have fallen in love with a little bakery here; it has such delicious food, and for cheap. We are showing our faces 3 times a day to endulge in their delicious sandwiches and pastries. I can feel my booty growing by the second..! On our last day in San sebastian we went on an exploring stroll around the city in the morning and stopped to oogle at their main church which is huge and all ...
