Arrival was smooth and journey good considering how travel can be. Beautiful bay, secluded and sheltered. Loads of yachts moored up all over the bay, I guess as it is so very sheltered from all winds. Our flotilla has 9 yachts in total and some 30 souls travelling. We know where we are going and we sort of know where the wind will be. A bit of beating for a couple of days, then ...

Very beautiful old city and ruins. 300 days of sunshine a year. Visited the Knights of St John castle. We have now visited the 7 wonders of the Ancient Greek and Roman world without really trying! Nevertheless, we boarded when we were allowed and we shoved off on our 15-hour ferry ride to Rhodes. Seeing the islands from out on the sea was wonderful, though, and the freedom to move about inside and outside of the cruise ship-sized ferry kept us from feeling confined during the long trip. The ferry made four or five brief stops in small ports which itself was a fun part of the adventure, seeing these small island towns ...
