A curious arrangement - each hotel or restaurant "owns" a section of beach from the promenade to the near the water's edge. You can walk the water's edge but not sunbake on the beach unless you pay!     We moved on from San Remo to Finale Ligure, which is further east on the Italian Rivera. We parked right next to the sea against a rock breakwater and within sight of the beach resort. On route we tried to get into another Motorhome stopover, which was full. Whilst reversing out we hit a lamp post and smashed a light cluster on the back box. Blame is yet to be decided.     ... to drive on. Later we drove only on straight roads, not as fun for motorcycles. But hey, no stress, because every kilometre brings us closer to Croatia! In the evening we stopped on a camping along a beautiful lake, surrounded by mountains. The down side is that the camping is full with Dutch people!! The positive side is that everything is cheap ;-) We ate at the restaurant on the camping and listened to some live music. See ya ...
