... city, we were able to walk off the ship, and walk into town. The streets of old Genoa are narrow ones that snake up the hillside. This was great, because there wasn’t a lot of vehicular traffic. It just made for tough pictures because the narrow streets were shaded by buildings. There is a lot of gorgeous architecture in Genoa. We really enjoyed just walking around and taking it all in.

Rough Seas; Calm "Cabin"
... that day as well and that he had hiked there and back. We did attempt to walk a bit of the distance the day before we left just to get a sense for what the hike might be like. It was a particularly wet, windy day so we didn’t enjoy it as much since we weren’t really prepared for it. Nonetheless I did manage to get some great photos of our village from that vantage point.

The food wasn't great (it was probably the Dominoes Pizza of Florence), but the conversation over dinner had all of us captivated so the food didn't really matter much.
