We arrived in this beautiful place for a 2 night stay. The hotel is just gorgeous. Our room is spacious and very luxe. We have beautiful double french doors that open up onto a window box that overlooks the narrow street. We started our stay with a glass of wine and beer in the hotel bar before heading out for pizza and a bottle of Chianti. Strolling the chilly streets after we headed back to our warm hotel for a well deserved nights ...

We arrived in Plerguer after about a 4 hour drive. It took for ever. When we arrived we found
our unit easy.

We went to Mont St Michel. It is a church, a couple of shops and houses on a massive rock.

Today we went to old castle walls at St Malo and walked all the way around.

We passed a prison in the water.

But when it was low tide you could walk across to it.

here was a lot of big rocks to be climbed all over.

We were able to join an English speaking tour in the Abbey where we found out about the history.
There is so much because it was built in 900's.

Petite Madeleine' above their doors and flowers in their gardens, Bhudlia, violets, tulips, wisteria and another large shrub which I don't recognise but is very common here with lovely delicate pink flowers. With that, the bright yellow fields of rapeseed and the lovely peaceful river, reflections of the trees on the water and the birdsong, it was idyllic.
